乐视体育打造奥运频道
LeTV Sports, the fast-growing digital sports broadcaster in China, has recently announced the launch of an Olympic channel that will broadcast live next month's Rio Olympics.
The announcement was made following LeTV Sports' new partnership with Amway Nutrilite, the vitamin brand, which has itself sponsored Chinese sports teams for the Olympic Games in Sydney.
Liu Jianhong, who used to be a renowned sports commentator with China's Central Television, is now the chief content officer of LeTV Sports. He has revealed that exclusive face-to-face interviews with winners of the game will be part of the content on the channel.
"The athletes who have participated in previous Olympic Games all know that they would be blocked within the Olympic village as soon as they arrived there. They merely shuttle between the Olympic village where they are accommodated and the competition venues, and as the games wrapped up, they would directly fly back home without being left anytime for tourism. I understand that athletes are very eager to hang out a little. Hence LeTV Sports will provide athletes with a sightseeing bus, on which athletes may go on with media interviews while observing the beautiful sceneries of Rio de Janeiro."
To add more fun to this new channel, some celebrities are also invited to discuss the game progress.
Gao Xiaosong, Chinese music producer and well-known songwriter for "Campus Folk", will show his versatility again in hosting a live talk show on Rio Olympics with Liu Jianhong and another famous sports commentator Huang Jianxiang.
The launch date for this Olympic channel for Chinese sports fans has locked in on 28th of July.
LeSports is an official online partner of several Chinese Olympic teams, including those of athletics, badminton and cycling.
