A popular teenager died after hiding a bag of cocaine in her mouth when the car she was in was stopped by police, an inquest has heard.

Beautician Georgia Cassidy, 19, was traveling with her boyfriend when the pair were pulled over for a random check in Kirkby, England, near Liverpool.

In the moments before stopping, Cassidy concealed the drugs in her mouth, the hearing was told.

Officers found nothing suspicious and allowed the pair to leave, but Cassidy then suffered a serious seizure later in the same day, The Liverpool Echo reports.

She was rushed from a parking lot outside a bar to Aintree hospital where she died from cocaine toxicity three days later, on Feb. 14, 2018, Liverpool Coroners Court was told on Thursday.

Coroner Andre Rebello said there was “no suggestion that she had any connection with drugs,” adding: “Tragically, her death has occurred from an accident.”

Rebello slammed drug dealers, saying: “They earn an awful lot of money out of the upset and destruction and chaos caused to families like Georgia’s.”

He said it was clear Cassidy was a much-loved and popular woman.

At the time of her death, her heartbroken friends paid tribute to her.

One wrote online: “Absolutely heartbreaking. I can’t believe it, thinking of you all, such a beautiful girl.”

Liverpool police are investigating and confirmed a man had been arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.
