The Swede water’s full of nutrient that could be used to agriculture or fertilizers but it’s also full of toxicant materials that are not good for crops.

And a new water treatment project being tested in Sweden seeks to retain the good elements from the waste water and eliminate the harmful ones.

Today we’ll mix the waste waters into one big pipe so we have the large flows from all the open areas in the city and then we have a lot of heavy metals and pollutants from cars and all the streets.

And it’s getting mixed with a beneficial factions from the toilet waste water because urine feces are really good fertilizers but we should not mix them with other waste waters from urban areas.

Doctoral Chemical-Engineering student Hamse Kjerstadius devises a water treatment system that could increase biogas production, plant neutrality cycling and heat recovery.

His plan sets for trial in a new district being constructed in Helsingborg in southern Sweden.

We will separate the waste water already at the source in the household so we have the toilet waste water into one pipe and the food waste into a separate pipe and the remaining household waste water,the grey water into a third pipe, so the three pipes living in the household and that means we can have a lot more efficient treatment to down hold the wasteful treatment plant and recover more resources from the waste water.

The project is attracting attention as Swedish cities with older sources systems look for equal friendly upgrades.
