Five nations and twelve days, full of pageantry performances posing for photographs and at times literally linking hands with other leaders.All of it requiring a lot of coordination, logistically there were few hitches for what some critics predicted and could turn into a debacle.A trip too far and too long for a 71-year-old president who does not like to be stage-managed.

The bigger question is what was really accomplished. While providing few details beyond asserting hundreds of billions dollars in trade deals were made,President Trump expressed no doubt it was all worth it, declaring this a tremendously successful trip.

More details are to be revealed Wednesday or Thursday at the White House according to the president. During the trip, Trump pre-emphasized that his administration rejects multinational trade pacts such as the trans-pacific partnership in favour of one-to-one economic agreements.
