Mexico’s Dia de Los Muertos—the Day the Dead has become world renowned for its celebrations that include lavish parties and parades featuring elaborate costumes.People from all over the world gathered this weekend in Mexico City to watch giant floats with the dancers, acrobats and skeleton marionettes in its famous Day of the Dead parade.

It’s awesome.The holiday dates back to the Aztec empire and over the centuries it has blended with the Catholic All Souls Day to become a colorful celebration of the dead.On the eve of the holiday families gathered to clean and decorate the graves of their loved ones and also to party with good food and music.In the village of Panmunjom Patchy State,the old Mayan tradition requires taking out the remains of the dead from their graves and cleaning them up.
