It's lunchtime in Rome during the coronavirus pandemic. Restaurant owner Maria Chiari De Felici brings the menu to a customer. He'll have to keep his hands to himself however if he plans to place an order. Most customers welcome this new way to view a menu. They're happy. Some are surprised and intimidated at first, but then they realize how easy it is to use. Customer Stefano Pratti scans a quick response or QR code,beaming the restaurants menu to his phone. He still verbally places his order,but since he's not actually touching a menu, risks of spreading Covid-19 drop. Good news for Pratti.

Finally after two and a half months of imprisonment, I'm at a restaurant. It's satisfying and if you eat well, it's even better. With staff in a kitchens equivalent of personal protective equipment or PPE, restaurant owners like De Felici hope this is just one step back toward pre-pandemic life. I think we all want to return to life the way we lived before, nothing more. Obviously I hope that with time people trust us more,and take confidence in the extreme safety measures were using here.
