本集简介：

The One Where Phoebe Runs

Rachel and Phoebe, new roommates, decide to run together in the park each day. Phoebe's weird running style embarrasses Rachel. Joey gets a beautiful new roommate (Janine) and struggles to avoid flirting with her. He thinks she's interested in him, so he seeks advice from Ross and Chandler on how they "repel women." Chandler cleans his and Monica's apartment, but afterwards can't remember where everything goes. He tries to keep Monica out of the apartment while he figures out what to do.

故事梗概

Phoebe: I have to tie my shoe, so you go ahead, I'll catch up.

Rachel: Okay. (Runs off.)

Phoebe: Okay. (Starts running crazily with her arms flapping and her legs far apart) Come on! That's not running! Let's go! (Rachel pauses, then follows, embarrassed.)

Rachel: You guys, I'm telling you, when she runs, she looks like a cross between Kermit The Frog and The Six Million Dollar Man.

Rachel搬到了Phoebe那里。一天她和Phoebe跑步锻炼时，发现Phoebe的跑步姿态无比怪异。她回来和老友们说：当她跑的时候，她看起来就像青蛙科米和百遍金刚的结合体一样。这里面出现了两个人物：青蛙科米(Kermit the Frog)和百变金刚(The Six Million Dollar Man)。这两个到底是什么样的人物呢?他们结合在一起又是一种什么形象呢?下面就讲一讲吧。

青蛙科米是一个由人来操纵的木偶(Muppet)形象。它是木偶表演家(puppeteer)吉姆．汉森(Jim Henson)设计的最著名的形象。科米的形象脱胎于汉森妈妈扔到垃圾桶里的一件绿色女士大衣，配上两个乒乓球作眼睛。科米最早出现在1955年WRC-TV(美国国家广播公司NBC旗下的一个电视台，位于华盛顿特区)电视台的一个五分钟的木偶剧“萨姆和朋友们”(Sam and Friends)中。早期的科米是个长得像蜥蜴的动物。它第一次以青蛙的形象出现在人们面前是1969年在电视特别节目“嘿，灰姑娘”(Hey Cinderella)中。从此科米就成了一只青蛙。

在1971年科米经历了人生的转折点。它开始作为记者频繁出现在“芝麻街”(Sesame Street)节目中，来采访儿歌(nursery rhyme)中的人物。“芝麻街”是一个由木偶和真人共同出演的节目。内容欢闹搞笑、表演荒唐、．动作滑稽，节目深受当时人们的喜爱。作为记者的科米有着一颗善良的心，多才多艺，且温文尔雅，但它必须尽力控制住一群活蹦乱跳的木偶，同时还要照顾到真人来宾。科米一直由汉森亲自操纵表演。但1990年汉森去世。此后汉森的工作便由木偶表演家史蒂芬．威特迈尔(Steve Whitmire)接替。科米曾是吉姆．汉森公司的吉祥物(mascot)，后来科米这个形象卖给了迪斯尼公司(The Walt Disney Company)。

科米最著名的作品就是歌曲《成为绿色不容易》 (It’s Not Th4f Easy Being Green)。这首歌由科米表演，吉姆．汉森演唱。在本集中，Ross揭露Monica小时每晚都要亲亲科米才能睡觉，而Rachel也是科米的崇拜者。她们俩还提到都非常喜爱这首歌曲。

而The Six Million Dollar Man(《百变金刚》)是1973年至1978年在美国广播公司的一个电视剧集。主人公史蒂夫．奥斯丁(Steve Austin)是一名在意外事故中受重伤的宇航员。后来他经过再造手术，成为半机器半人的百变金刚。而这个手术共花费六百万美元，因此他又被人叫作“六百万美元先生”。他的右胳膊、双腿和左眼做了手术。手术后，他具有超出常人的力量、速度和眼力。他利用这些能力为科学智能所OSI(Office of Scientific Intelligence)做秘密工作。
