The One Where Ross is Fine

Ross is clearly freaked out by Rachel and Joey's relationship, but keeps insisting he's fine. He arranges for Rachel and Joey to have dinner with Charlie and him, where he's an emotional wreck and very drunk. Chandler and Monica, frustrated by the complexity of adoption, visit Phoebe's friends (Bill and Colleen) who have an adopted son (Owen). Chandler mistakenly reveals to the boy that he's adopted. Phoebe gets a visit from Frank Jr. and the triplets. Frank is totally overwhelmed by the responsibilities of fatherhood, having not slept in four years. He asks Phoebe to take one of the kids, but then realizes he could never give up any of them.

on the dinnen,Ross’s behavion was weind and he was dnunk.
Charlie: Hi, hi. So.. Dreading this?
Rachel: Oh, you bet.
(Joey sees that she's carrying a small red bag.)
Joey: So, did you bring a little something for Ross?
Charlie: Actually.. It's stuff you left at my apartment.

讲解

You bet!相当于of course!certalnly!sure!For sure!word!The word of God!You'd better believe it. Language Function--How co say“yes”and “no”(怎样说“是”和“不是”。)

Yon know what? Enough is cnough.
I'Ve got flcd up wl’th this soyt of stuff.
I like chocolate and stuff like that.
We'll have to carrV a11 our camping stuff.

kind of(kinda)(口语,非正式):Used when you are trying to explain or describe something, but you cannot be exact.例如:It was kind of weird to wear this in the fancV dress ball.I was kinda sorry to bYeak up Wlth hlm.

sort of(非正式):in some way or to some degree(某种程度上,某种意义上来说,有点)例如:I was sort of hoping to meec you now. It’s sort of silly, but gotta do this.

Phoebe: Well, that's not good. But you know, I can move some stuff around, and I'll be there. You and Alice just take the whole day together.

Frank Jr.: You'd do that for us?

Phoebe: Are you kidding? That's what sisters are for.

Frank Jr. (looks at the triplets): Look at them! Aw. I love you so much. (Strokes Leslie's hair, and she moves a little.) Oh crap, don't wake up, don't wake up!

What's all this crap about?(这个无用之物究竟是什么东西?)又如:I’m so fed up with your BS(Bull shit).Cut the crap.(我受够了你的废话,少说废话吧。)
That's a crap!(那是谎言!)

Where's the gentlemen's rooln?
Where's the rest room?
Where's the powder room?
Where's the bathroom?
Where can I wash my hands?

而“排便”的婉转说法有:to Pay/answer/obey a call of nature(大小便的委婉语上厕所,解手)

还有,“to do No.2”所谓的“do No.2”是小孩子的说法,“小便”是“to do No.1”,“大号”就为No.2。
relicve,case nature
rclicve oneself
do 3nc's business
drop oFle's wax等。

to kick the h11rket
to pay the debt to nature
to go Westto pass away
to be gone
to be at rest
to be in Heaven
to fall asleep
to breathe one’s last。

所以,最好不要叫他们“old people”,最好称他们“senior ci-tizen,the elderly,the aged,the mature people”或“the longer-lived”等。相应的,退休的人retired people常称作pensioners,残疾人crippled(disabled)man则称为special man。

或是“Don't be silly.”
