中国回应世贸组织的裁决

The World Trade Organization has ruled that China broke international regulations by restricting exports of certain materials. The report says China was protecting its domestic manufacturers, by limiting exports of raw materials used in the steel, aluminum and chemical industries.
世贸组织已经裁定中国限制一些材料的出口，违反了国际条例。该报告称，中国通过限制钢铁、铝和化工等行业原材料的出口来保护国内制造商。

But China has hit back, saying the measures taken were in line with WTO objectives of sustainable development.
但是中国回应称，采取的这些措施符合世贸组织的可持续发展目标。

The case, which went to the WTO in 2009, was brought by the U.S., supported by the EU and Mexico, after China imposed quotas on exports of certain metals. China said it needed to conserve resources of magnesium and other exports, but the U.S. argued this left non-Chinese manufacturers with shortages of necessary materials.
WTO在2009年受理了这个案件，在中国对一些金属出口配额征税以后，美国提起了诉讼，并得到欧盟和墨西哥的支持。中国表示，中国需要保护镁和其它出口资源，但是美国认为这会使中国以外的制造商缺乏必需的资源。

After the WTO published its judgment, the Chinese Preferment Mission to the WTO responded. And it's looking on the bright side of things, saying the WTO panel actually made findings in favor of China in many ways. They include the terms of reference, export quota allocation and issues relating to export licenses.
在WTO公布其判决之后，中国驻世贸组织代表团回应了此事。代表团看到了事情有利的一面，称WTO专家小组公布的结果在许多方面对中国其实是有利的。它们包括了授权调查范围，出口配额分配和与出口许可证相关的问题。

On the restriction of metals exports, the mission says China took measures to meet domestic regulations on high polluting, high energy-consuming resource products. They also point out, the steps were in line with the objectives of sustainable development as promoted by the WTO.
在金属出口限制的问题上，代表团表示，中国采取的措施符合国内关于高污染、高能耗资源性产品的法规。他们也指出，这些措施与WTO提倡的可持续发展目标是一致的。

The Mission says China is evaluating the report, and will follow up in accordance with the dispute settlement process.
代表团称，中国正在评估该份报告，而且会继续跟踪争端解决的过程。
