大熊猫首次在法国动物园公开亮相

Two giant pandas who arrived in France last month were finally introduced to the public on Saturday. Huan Huan and Yuan Zi are the only giant pandas in the county and there was much excitement when the zoo finally opened the doors to the panda enclosure to the public.
上个月到达法国的两只大熊猫周六终于和公众见面了。欢欢和圆仔是法国唯一的两只大熊猫，当动物园向公众开放熊猫馆的大门时，大家都很兴奋。

They’re a long way from their home in China, but Huan Huan and Yuan Zi seem to be adjusting well to life in France.
虽然它们在中国的家离这里很遥远，但是欢欢和圆仔似乎很适应法国的生活。

They’ve spent the last four weeks settling into their new home at Beauval Zoo Parc in the Loire Valley and when the zoo finally opened them up to the public, they seemed right at home and not at all phased by all their visitors.

Delphine Delord, Director of Education, Beauval Zoo Parc, said, "Its one of the best days in the history of the zoo, we open the panda today and it’s just great to have so many people waiting for them and being so happy to see them."

Panda fever hit France when the pair arrived last month and after weeks of waiting the panda enclosure was the first port of call for most visitors to the zoo.

A visitor said, "They’re adorable. Like two beautiful fluffy toys. So loveable, you want to touch them. The kids have their faces painted; they’re very happy, and happy to see the pandas."
一位游客表示：“它们很可爱。像两只漂亮的毛绒玩具。它们如此可爱，你会很想去摸它们。小孩子画它们的脸，他们非常高兴，见到熊猫非常高兴。”

Huan Huan and Yuan Zi came from Chengdu Research Base for Giant Pandas and the staff at the zoo in France have been working closely with their colleagues in China to ensure the pandas adapt well to their new life.
欢欢和圆仔来自成都的大熊猫研究基地，法国动物园的工作人员和他们的中国同事密切合作，确保熊猫很快适应新生活。

Li Liu, Chinese vet, said, "I think they are happy to be here. The enclosure for them is very good, the inside enclosure and the outside enclosure are very good and they like it very much."
中国兽医Li Liu表示：“我觉得，它们在这里很开心。为它们设立的这个馆非常好，内馆和外馆都非常好，他们非常喜欢这里。”

The pair is on a 10-year loan from China in a traditional diplomatic gesture aimed at strengthening ties with other countries.

Zhu Jing, Chinese Embassy official, said, "We can see the joy on people’s faces - the visitors, the children and the parents. It gives us great pleasure that the pandas are bringing so much joy to our friends in France."
中国大使馆官员Zhu Jing表示：“我们看到人们脸上的欢乐，无论是游客、小孩还是父母。这给了我们巨大的满足，熊猫给我们的法国朋友带来如此多的欢乐。”

Huan Huan and Yuan Zi are already a big hit here in France. But the staff at Beauval Zoo Parc hope the panda will be more than just a tourist attraction and actually educate people and raise awareness about the endangered species.
欢欢和圆仔在法国很受欢迎。但是博瓦勒动物园的工作人员希望熊猫不仅是一个旅游景点，还能教育人们，提高人们的濒危物种意识。
