 big mouth

"big mouth" 的字面意思是“大嘴巴”，但它这个大嘴巴并不是形容人的“嘴巴大”，而是说某人是个“多嘴的人；多嘴驴”。所以将它理解为“大嘴巴”好像也并无大碍，因为有些地方确实用它来形容“多嘴的人”，只需要在交流的时候注意理解就好。

"You have a big mouth!"

如果我知道你这么多嘴，我绝不会把我的秘密告诉你。

 smart mouth

"smart" 除了我们经常理解的“聪明的”这个意思外，还有“耍小聪明”这层含义。所以 "smart mouth" 不是“聪明的嘴”，而是“油嘴滑舌”。

 jungle mouth

"jungle" 有“丛林”的意思，那么 "jungle mouth" 该怎么理解呢？它其实是形容一个人嘴臭的跟丛林里腐地一样，简单来说，就是“极度口臭”。

我老公每天起床嘴都超臭，在他旁边我根本受不了。

 poor-mouth

"poor-mouth" 是一个动词词组，可千万不要理解为“贫穷的嘴巴”啦！其实它是“哭穷（以博取同情）”的意思。

"Spend more time looking for a job and less time poor-mouthing."
多花点时间找工作，少在这哭穷。

老师第一次看到 "put my foot in my mouth" 的时候，非常天真（无知）的以为是“把我的脚塞进嘴里” 后来外国朋友科普了才知道，这个表达其实是“无意中说错话”，并伤到了别人。（憋问为什么不是复数形式 "feet"，你还能把两只脚塞进嘴里还是咋地）

当我告诉Ann她的头发比以前任何时候都要漂亮时，我是真说错话了。那是顶假发。
