普京在慈善晚会上弹唱献艺

Russian President Vladimir Putin took a break from discussing the nuclear START treaty to belt out a classic tune for some of Hollywood's lived crowd. And you could say he found his thrill. His performance at recent fund raiser is such a huge hit right now on YouTube. ABC's Alex Marquardt joins us over the phone from Moscow with much more. Alex knew Putin could sing and play the piano.

"No kidding, it will take place over the weekend, Putin is known for his number of macho stance he's posed over the years whether was wrestling in a game of a heartly rider or tranquilizing at tiger with a dart. But this is a sign that we seen, we haven't seen before and he got upon stage and sang the song from start to finish in front of that stars set crowd you mentioned then he did such a bad job and he did in English which is obvious his second language."

"All right let's take a listen. "

"Pretty smooth, right Alex?"

"Not so bad, unlike some of his other, you know, PR's dancers, it doesn't seem like this one was, well it was orchestrated. And his spokesman actually said later that he learnt the lyric to the song in his English class.

"Wow, very impressive."
