It is a kaleidoscope of music, film and technology, all happening at the same time in one event.This musician from Nigeria known as “9ice” is here at South by Southwest (SXSW) to meet people.
这是一个音乐、电影和科技的万花筒，也是一场跨行业盛会。来自尼日利亚的音乐人9ice参加了此次西南偏南（SXSW）音乐节，为同音乐界人士见面。
“It is to make more fans you know, introduce my music to people who haven’t listened to my music before.”

Live music is no longer the only highlight at South by Southwest. “It is a giant party; it’s a music festival; it’s an entertainment festival; it’s a tech show.”

The festival has evolved and grown over the years to reflect the city.“Austin is associated with primarily music but now we’re really in the tech world. I have a lot of friends that work for film studios here, so it’s...,I mean Austin is growing in all those aspects, so it makes sense that the festival would, too.”

There are now technology panels, interactive demonstrations, film promotions and lounges where attendees can socialize.“People from all walks of life just all hang out at parties together and a lot of them have free alcohol and free food, so it’s definitely a perk.”
这里不仅有科技探讨、互动演示、电影宣传，还设有休息室，以便与会者进行交际。“不同圈子的人相聚一堂，很多人还享有免费酒水的额外福利，所以这绝对是一种乐趣。”
These so-called parties are networking opportunities where musicians, techies and film promoters from seemingly very different industries can meet and find connections and new ways of thinking about their own industry.

“It’s a giant opening of the city to expose people to new ideas and new products and get them thinking about how they can apply that to their business.”

9ice sees it every day in his music business. “We’ve gone away from analog now to digital, mixing, mastering, recording.It’s all about technology, without technology, you can’t do music these days.”

Technology and its applications in all types of art can be seen everywhere at South by Southwest.Attendees from around the world will get a chance to experience it all in Austin.
