Researchers are looking for ways to treat pain without having to use drugs.One reason: drugs can sometimes create more problems.You have these side effects; one of those side effects for pain relief is addiction.This dark drop is magnetic and may be the answer; in this fluid you can see what happens when a magnet is placed under the slide.

The dark drop is made of tiny magnetic particles that can interact with cell proteins to relieve pain.These magnetic particles would be embedded in this gel-like material found naturally in the brain and spinal cord and applied to a part of the body that is experiencing pain.Let’s say you had a wound, you might then put in this gel that has embedded in it, some of these magnetic particles,these iron-oxide particles into the wound to help heal it and at the same time you’re able to apply some forces by having a magnetic sort of patch over the wound.

What an external magnetic patch is placed over the area of pain it interacts with the magnetic particles in the gel creating a push-pull effect.As we apply force to these cells, these pain sensitive proteins, the number of them decreases;this means that you would have less sensitivity to pain signals. In the lab we can actually use this material to reduce the pain.But researchers say more tests are necessary before the treatment can be used on people.
