The One With The Bullies

本集简介：

Monica notices a stock with her initials (MEG), and decides to try to make a living on the stock market rather than take a demeaning job at a 50's theme diner. She doesn't do so well.

Phoebe decides it's time to meet her father, but accidentally runs over his dog. After getting it back from the vet, she delivers it home, only to find that Frank Buffay hasn't been there for four years.

However, she discovers she has a half-brother, Frank Junior. Ross and Chandler get intimidated out of their seats, a hat, and the coffee shop, by a couple of bullies. As they're about to have a final showdown, someone steals from all of them, so Ross, Chandler, and the bullies band together to kick butt.

莫妮卡注意到有一只股票（MEG）和自己的名字近似，决定放弃厨师这种伺候人的职业，尝试炒股谋生。
常胜将军这次全军覆没，只好重操旧业。
菲比终于准备好同父亲见面，却轧伤了父亲的狗。

带狗去看好伤，菲比送狗狗回家。发现父亲已经离开那个住处四年了。
倒是碰见她同父异母的弟弟，小福兰克。
罗斯和钱德喝咖啡的时候遭两个小流氓挑衅，对方霸占他们的位子，抢走钱德的帽子，还不许他们再来喝咖啡。

不甘受辱的罗斯和钱德和他们到街上决斗。
双方商量好规则，不许动用武器，所以都把手表和钥匙之类金属物暂放帽子里，
结果有人趁他们商量打架规则时顺手牵羊。
于是四个人开始追小偷，表现优秀，结果把帽子追回来了。

故事梗概

Chandler 和Ross 在 Central Perk 喝咖啡时，有两个流氓痞子不但霸占他们的 couch,而且还抢了 Chandler的 hat, 是可忍孰不可忍,两人决定与痞子们决一雌雄。两人尽管战战兢兢，但还是很勇敢地面对了“敌人”；无巧不成书，正当四人展开阵势的时候，另一帮更为恶劣的小偷把他们脱下放在帽子里的手表和钥匙等拿跑了……

ROSS: Well pal, you didn't give me much of a choice. [flicks the ends of the big bully's tie]

CHANDLER: Don't play with his things.

ROSS: I know.

BIG BULLY: Alright, let's take this outside.

ROSS: Let's, let's take this outside? Who talks like that?

bully 不但可以作名词，还可以作动词，表示“欺凌弱小的人”或“欺负”等意思。例如：He’s always bullying smaller boys.(他总是欺侮比他小的男孩子。)再如：The strong tend to bully the Wcak.
(强者总爱欺负弱者。)

A bully is always a coward 则是说“色厉内荏”。路霸可以说成 road bully等等。

A bully is an individual who tends to torment others, either through verbal

harassmcnt and／or physical assaults, or through more subtle methods of cocrcion．

这段话的意思是“流氓痞子是指常折磨他人的人，折磨方式包括言语侵害和(或)身体侵害，或难以捉摸的恐吓等手段。”

Bullying can occur in situations including in school or college／university,the workplace, families，between neighbors．

(欺凌行为发生的地方通常包括学校或大学、工厂车间、家庭、以及邻里之间等。)下面几种情形均可视为欺凌行为：Calling the victim names and stating the victim is useless at whatever they do．(呼叫受害人的姓名，并宣传受害人不管在任何方面均毫无用处。)

Threats of job loss and disciplinary action for unspecifled reasors．
