本集简介：

Frank Jr. and Alice have eloped, and they ask Phoebe to be a surrogate mother for them; Phoebe asks advice of her birth mother, who gives her a puppy for only three days so she'll know what it's like to give up something you love. Ross gets Joey a job as a Tour Guide at the museum; Joey is hurt when Ross won't sit next to him at lunch (the white coats don't sit with the blue blazers); this prompts Ross to stand up and make some changes in the cafeteria, but it works a little too well. Chandler is nervous about being intimate with Kathy since she used to be Joey's girlfriend; feeling his performance is only adequate, he asks advice from Monica and Rachel; Kathy is very grateful.

Tour Guide: You mean Dr. Geller?

Joey: Doctor? Wow! I didn't know he had a nickname.

Tour Guide: Oh, he won't sit here. Only the people in the white coats sit over there, (Points to there table) and only the people in the blue blazers sit here.

Joey: Well, how-how come?

Tour Guide: That's just the way it is.

Joey: That's crazy.

Ross: Y'know, we work in a museum of natural history, and yet there is something unnatural about the way we eat lunch. Now, I look around this cafeteria, and y択now what I see, I see-I see division.

white collar　(白领)；gold collar　(金领)；blue collar　(蓝领)……，你一定听说过这些词，现在都是耳熟能详了。据资料称，早在1928年，人们开始用 white-collar 来形容非体力劳动者，如老师、公务员等。“白领”顾名思义，表示其职业要求着装整齐、清洁。如果我们将 blue-collar worker称为“体力劳动者”的话，那么可以把 white-collar worker 称为“脑力劳动者”。从事体力工作的职员也可以称为 manual staff；文职工作的职员可以称为 clerical staff。

有一个比较新的词是 white-collar crime，即白领犯罪，是指法人或个人在职务过程中所犯的各种非暴力犯罪 (non-violent crimes) 的总称。包括盗窃罪 (crime of theft)、诈骗罪 (fraud)、侵占罪 (embezzlement)、商业贿赂罪 (bribery)、以及内部人员交易罪 (insider trading)等。

Ross 所工作的博物馆不同级别的工作人员不能坐在一起吃饭，显示了一定的歧视 (discrimination)，Ross 为了挽回和 Joey 的友谊，率先发表了煽动人心的演说，Joey followed suit，他们打破这一陈腐惯例，气氛由此改变。

蓝领工人 (blue-collar worker) 指干体力活或技术活的工人 (manual or
technical labor)，而白领们通常指在现代化大楼中的办公桌前从事非体力工作的工作人员。
