庆祝中国青年节的“五月花”晚会

To celebrate China's Youth Day on May 4th, college students from across the country are busy rehearsing at the CCTV studios here in Beijing, for a huge "May Flower" gala.

All the performances are being directed and played by students. Around 2,500 students from almost 100 colleges are taking part in the show - a CCTV record for the most number of performers ever on stage.

The show features a dance with a sporting theme, led by four World Olympic champions who have now returned to campus. It portrays the aspirations of competitors looking forward to the 2012 London Olympic Games. The gala will be broadcast live on CCTV on Friday night.
