名人教英文：“自由行”与沙丁鱼

因为“自由行”的游客人数迫爆，香港总是处处见沙丁鱼也似的人山人海场面。对了，如果“好久不见”英文可以讲long time no see，“不行”就是no go，那“人山人海”为什么不说people mountain people sea？

就是仍未给视为正规英文，不属通用语。真要直译，人山人海是∶

mountains and seas of people，但恐怕许多英文教师都会改做huge crowds of people。
形容人多，英文传统不用山，但就一样有用海与浪来做比喻∶

we saw a sea of people at the graduation ceremony.
毕业礼上，只见人山人海。

i am alone in a sea of people.
在人海中，我很孤单。

there were waves of people marching through the city.
人潮一浪接一浪操过城市。

there is a non-stop flow of people.
人潮延绵不绝。
