While USA Gymnastics and the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee have now agreed to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation, both organizations have been accused by lawyers for the victims of doing all they could to evade their legal and moral responsibility in having created an environment in which the physician acted with impunity over many years.

The settlement also states that USA Gymnastics goes through a radical overhaul with a requirement that some of those who spoke out about their own experiences to prevent others being abused have to become board members.
