上海一酒店推"空中餐厅"
In Shanghai, a unique dining experience will leave you hanging.
Twenty-two diners and four waiters are hoisted 50 meters in the air by a crane while seated at a large custom-made dinning table. A gourmet meal is served as guests get a great view of the city's magical skyline.
"It was a bit scary at the beginning, but after a while, I felt OK. The view up there is really good, but it got shaky sometimes," a diner said.
The floating diners also caught the eyes of bemused people on the ground.
"It’s an interesting way to eat out, in the clouds here in Shanghai," a resident said.
"We are always busy working in these office buildings. It’s great to see people do something really different for a change," another resident said.
While dining in the air is rare, it is also expensive. The cost of a lunch or dinner, or a sampling of appetizers, ranges from 2,000 to 9,000 yuan.
The unusual dinning concept has been offered in more than 40 countries. Shanghai is the first city in China to offer "dinner in the sky."
