18. clichés：4个被用烂的商务用语

the economist（《经济学家》）杂志中有一篇名为“business clichés: the subtleties of corporate english"（《被用烂的商务英语:商务英语的含蓄表达方式》）写得非常好，建议大家去看看原文。

1. reach out（联系，联络）

例句：i'll reach out to joe.
中文释义：我会跟joe联系的。

the economist认为这句话也可以被理解成i'll take the risk of asking joe for his advice even though he's probably far too busy and probably sees out project as a threat to his entire existence（即使joe可能根本忙不过来，或者joe认为我们这个项目威胁到他的地位，我还是会试着询问一下他的意见）。文章认为也可以理解为to talk to someone outside one's normal circle of contacts（跟一位不在自己圈子内的人联系）

angry editor也觉得这个短语特别cliché。不管是哪国人，我的很多同事都爱用这个词。与contact不一样的是，reach out有“工作量很大”的含义。虽然这个说法一般是没有必要的，但是还不至于把我给气死。
