The Israeli defense forces say they have shot down five rockets fired from the Gaza Strip towards southern Israel.

It follows a 2 day Israeli military operation in the occupied West Bank town of Jenin.

On Tuesday evening, the Israeli army began withdrawing its forces from the area. Anna Foster reports.

Because of the size and the scale of this operation, the number of military vehicles, the number of soldiers that were involved, the withdrawal, I think, is expected to take some time.
