A Brazilian congressional inquiry is putting the final touches to a report on the government's handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

A leaked version suggested that it would recommend President Jair Bolsonaro be charged with murder for alleged government errors, which led to hundreds of thousands of deaths.

According to the inquiry's rapporteur Renan Calheiros, the 11-member panel will recommend that President Bolsonaro's government be charged with crimes, including murder by a mission, crimes against health, and crimes against humanity.
